Governance Has Completely Collapsed, Alleges YS Jagan
YSR Congress Party President and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on the Chandrababu Naidu-led government, alleging that governance in the state has completely collapsed. Addressing the YSRCP Parliamentary Party meeting, Jagan instructed the party’s MPs to aggressively raise every public issue in both Houses of Parliament and expose what he described as corruption, scams, and anti-people policies of the state government.
He urged the MPs to fight fearlessly on behalf of the people and bring every alleged irregularity committed by the government to the attention of the nation.
“Raise Every Public Issue in Parliament”
Jagan said the state administration has become directionless, with corruption and misuse of power prevailing across departments. He alleged that instead of addressing public concerns, the government is working to benefit select corporate interests.
He directed YSRCP MPs to strongly highlight these issues in Parliament and demand accountability from both the state and central governments wherever necessary.
DSC-2025 Recruitment Marred by Irregularities
Jagan alleged that the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process is riddled with irregularities.
According to him:
- Large-scale irregularities have taken place in appointments under the Sports Quota.
- Making the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) mandatory once again for teachers who are already in service is unfair.
- The government is playing with the future of thousands of teachers.
He asked party MPs to raise these concerns prominently in Parliament.
Allegations Over Government Land Allocations
The former Chief Minister accused the government of indiscriminately allocating valuable government land to private individuals and corporate entities.
His key allegations include:
- Government land worth nearly ₹5,000 crore has allegedly been handed over to Lokesh’s brother-in-law.
- Public assets are being distributed to private interests.
- The government is working for the benefit of a handful of individuals at the cost of public wealth.
“Is Selling a ₹5,000-Crore Port for ₹1,500 Crore Not a Scam?”
Jagan also raised serious allegations regarding port projects.
He claimed that a port worth around ₹5,000 crore was handed over for just ₹1,500 crore, alleging massive corruption in the transaction.
Questioning the government, he asked, “Is this not a scam?” and demanded a public explanation.
Amaravati Development and Alleged Harassment of Farmers
The YSRCP chief alleged that large-scale exploitation is taking place in the name of Amaravati capital development.
He further claimed that:
- Farmers who refused to part with their land under the Land Pooling Scheme are being harassed.
- Farmers’ rights are being violated.
- Government machinery is being used to suppress those opposing land acquisition.
Sand, Liquor and Mining Under “Mafia Control”
Jagan alleged that every major sector in the state has come under the control of mafias.
He accused the government of:
- Massive irregularities in sand mining.
- Corruption in liquor distribution.
- Large-scale illegal activities in mining operations.
He alleged that “nothing has been spared from exploitation.”
Farmers Facing Severe Crisis
Jagan said farmers across Andhra Pradesh are facing unprecedented hardships.
He alleged that:
- Farmers are not receiving remunerative prices for any crop.
- Agricultural losses are mounting.
- The farming sector has been pushed into a deep crisis.
Government Employees Left Without Benefits
Highlighting the concerns of government employees, Jagan alleged that the government has failed to fulfill several commitments.
According to him:
- The Pay Revision Commission (PRC) has not been implemented.
- Interim Relief (IR) has not been granted.
- Five Dearness Allowance (DA) installments remain pending.
- Encashment of surrendered leave dues has not been cleared.
He accused the government of pushing employees into financial distress.
₹3.6 Lakh Crore Borrowed in Two Years, But No Visible Development
Jagan alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu government has borrowed nearly ₹3.6 lakh crore within just two years.
Despite the massive borrowing, he claimed:
- No significant development projects are visible.
- Welfare programmes have failed to reach the people.
- Public debt alone has increased substantially.
Allegations of Political Vendetta
Jagan accused the government of filing false cases against those who question its policies and exposing alleged irregularities.
He claimed that dissenting voices are being targeted through misuse of official machinery, thereby weakening democratic values.
Jagan’s Directions to YSRCP MPs
Jagan instructed YSRCP Members of Parliament to raise the following issues forcefully in both Houses of Parliament:
- Alleged irregularities in DSC-2025 recruitment.
- Corruption in Sports Quota appointments.
- Teachers’ concerns over the revised TET policy.
- Government land allocations.
- Port-related transactions.
- Amaravati land disputes.
- Alleged harassment of farmers.
- Sand, liquor and mining mafia.
- Lack of remunerative prices for farmers.
- Pending PRC, IR and DA dues for government employees.
- Alleged borrowing of ₹3.6 lakh crore.
- Alleged misuse of cases against critics and opposition voices.
He emphasized that every issue affecting the people of Andhra Pradesh should be brought before Parliament and the nation.
“Parliament Must Become the Voice of the People”
Concluding his address, Jagan said the responsibility of YSRCP MPs is to represent the concerns of the people of Andhra Pradesh at the national level.
He called upon them to expose what he described as corruption, administrative failures, and anti-people decisions of the Chandrababu Naidu government. He urged them to highlight the difficulties faced by farmers, employees, teachers, unemployed youth, and other sections of society in Parliament.
“Stand as the voice of the people and expose every wrongdoing of the government before the nation. Our fight for public issues must continue without compromise,” Jagan told the party MPs.
