Indian cricketer Sanju Samson has once again demonstrated his commitment to social service by extending support to talented students aspiring to clear the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations. Known for winning fans over with his performances on the cricket field, Samson is also actively contributing to society.
He has come forward to support meritorious students who are unable to afford proper UPSC coaching due to financial difficulties. Through this initiative, scholarships will be provided to 1,000 UPSC aspirants across the country.
Scholarship Programme Launched at Lead India Summit
The scholarship programme was launched at the Lead India Summit in collaboration with the Sanju Samson Foundation and Lead IAS Academy.
The initiative aims to ensure that no talented student is forced to give up their dream of entering the civil services because of financial constraints.
Comprehensive Training and Mentorship
Students selected for the scholarships will receive comprehensive training covering the UPSC syllabus as well as several other important areas.
The programme will provide:

The objective is to equip students not only to clear the examination but also to develop the skills required for a successful career in public service.
Special Focus on Students from Kerala’s Coastal Region
Special priority will be given to poor and meritorious students from Vizhinjam, Sanju Samson’s native region, and the surrounding coastal areas.
The initiative will provide young aspirants with the necessary training and mentorship to encourage them to pursue careers in the civil services.

Speaking about the initiative, Sanju Samson said that his success in cricket was the result of talent, discipline, hard work and perseverance.
He noted that these same qualities are equally important for young people preparing for the civil services.
Samson said the primary objective of his foundation is to create opportunities for youngsters who aspire to serve the country and help them move closer to achieving their goals.

Lead IAS Academy has the guidance and support of several prominent former public servants and diplomats, including former Kerala DGP Rishiraj Singh, former CBI Joint Director V.V. Lakshminarayana, former IAS officer Anil Swarup, and former ambassador T.P. Sreenivasan.
Under their supervision and guidance, scholarship recipients will be provided with quality training and mentorship for their civil services preparation.
Lead IAS Junior Programme for School Students
The academy has also introduced the Lead IAS Junior programme to create awareness about civil services from the school level itself.
