Widespread Resistance From Multiple Groups
The government of Andhra Pradesh wants to let people sell alcohol at beach shacks.. This idea is not popular with many people. Women’s groups, community groups and people who care about rights are all saying that the government should not do this. They are protesting in ways.
These people think that selling alcohol on beaches is not a good idea. They think it could make the beaches safe and less fun for families. It could also hurt the reputation of these places as tourist destinations.
People In The Government Are Not Agreeing
This issue is also causing problems within the government. A man named Bolishetti Satyanarayana said something that is causing trouble. He said that if we sell alcohol on beaches just because some people want to buy it then we should also sell it in schools like Geetam College. This is putting pressure on the government the Jana Sena Party.
A Leader Led A Protest In Visakhapatnam
A man named Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, who’s a leader in the YSRCP party led a protest in Visakhapatnam. He did something at RK Beach. He put beer bottles and chicken kebabs on a cart. Made fun of the government’s plan. He said the government is not doing a job of creating jobs and is instead focusing on selling alcohol on beaches.
He asked if people really go to the beach to drink beer or if they go to have fun with their families. He thinks the government has the idea.
People Are Criticizing The Government
The protest leader said the government did not need to come up with this idea. He said if the government cannot do its job it should quit. Many people agree with him. They think the government cares more about making money than about what’s good for society.
There Is A Big Debate Now
The plan to sell alcohol on beaches is an issue in Andhra Pradesh now. The government has not said what it will do yet.. Many people are, against the idea and are putting pressure on the government.
