Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy made sensational remarks about his political future while addressing a public meeting in Nalgonda. He stated that he would contest the next Assembly elections only if the people of Nalgonda assure him of giving the highest majority in the state. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that the people of Nalgonda should decide whether he should continue in electoral politics. He asserted that he would seek another term only if the constituency promises to elect him with the highest majority in Telangana. Speaking about his personal life, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that despite serving as an MLA for several terms and as a minister multiple times, he still does not own a house in his name. He revealed that he continues to live in a rented house in Hyderabad and owns no significant assets other than ancestral property.

The minister reiterated that the development of Nalgonda remains his primary objective. He said that whether he holds a position or not, he would continue to work for the welfare of the people.
