Forged Fire NOCs Submitted for College Recognition
A major controversy has surfaced in Hyderabad after eight private junior colleges were accused of submitting forged Fire No Objection Certificates (NOCs) by allegedly forging the signature of HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath. The fake certificates were reportedly used during the recognition process with the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education.
Case Registered Following Official Complaint
According to officials, the colleges allegedly prepared counterfeit Fire NOCs carrying the forged signature of the HYDRAA Commissioner and submitted them as genuine documents. Based on a complaint filed by the concerned authorities, a case has been registered at the Lake Police Station. An investigation is currently underway, and officials have also recommended cancellation of the recognition granted to the institutions involved.
Eight Colleges Under Investigation
The institutions named in the case include:
- Priyanka Junior College, Mehdipatnam
- Mothers Girls Junior College, Vidyanagar
- Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Chandrayangutta
- New Era Junior College, Chikkadpally
- Shaheer Junior College, Shivarampally
- Vashishta Junior College, Tellapur
- Haindavi Junior College, Barkatpura
- Residence Junior College, S.R. Nagar
Officials stated that these colleges are under investigation for allegedly submitting forged Fire NOCs during the approval process.
Authorities Scrutinising Fire NOCs of 60 More Colleges
Meanwhile, officials suspect that similar irregularities may have occurred in other institutions as well. Reports indicate that the Fire NOCs submitted by around 60 additional private colleges are currently under scrutiny. Depending on the outcome of the verification process, more criminal cases could be registered.
Concerns Over Fake Documents in Educational Institutions
The incident has raised serious concerns over the use of forged documents in the recognition process of private educational institutions. Authorities believe that the ongoing investigation could uncover further violations, and strict action is expected against any institutions found guilty of submitting fake certificates.
