Free Healthcare and Free Education for Every Family if We Come to Power: Kalvakuntla Kavitha's Key Promise

Telangana Rakshana Sena Party (TRS Party) chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha announced that if her party comes to power in Telangana, it will provide free healthcare and free education to all citizens. Speaking at the Panchajanya Sankalpa Sabha in Korutla, she assured that the government would bear the entire cost of medical treatment for every family member, regardless of the severity of the illness or the expenses involved.

Kavitha said that following this announcement, leaders from other political parties had begun criticizing the proposal.

“Corruption-Free Governance Can Fund Welfare”

Responding to criticism that the current state budget could not support such ambitious welfare schemes, Kavitha argued that the funds were already available if corruption was eliminated.

She alleged that politicians were amassing enormous wealth through corrupt practices and said that curbing corruption alone would generate enough resources to provide quality free healthcare and education for poor families. She also stated that she was prepared to prove the financial feasibility of the plan with detailed calculations if necessary.

Education Changed My Life, Says Kavitha

Recalling her personal journey, Kavitha said her mother’s determination ensured she studied in an English-medium school, which eventually helped her pursue opportunities in the United States.

She emphasized that every poor child in Telangana deserves the same opportunities and said her party’s vision is to make quality education accessible to all, regardless of economic background.

Promise of Universal Free Education and Healthcare

Kavitha reiterated that if the Telangana Rakshana Sena Party receives a mandate from the people, it will establish a statewide system of universal free education and healthcare, ensuring equal access to essential public services for every citizen.

Criticism of Existing Political Parties

Kavitha also criticized the existing political parties, saying there would have been no need to launch a new political party if previous governments had genuinely addressed the needs of the people.

She alleged that she was expelled from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) because she questioned corruption and injustice within the system. According to her, the action against her was a consequence of raising public issues and participating in people’s movements.

Focus on Welfare and Accountability

Concluding her speech, Kavitha said her party’s priority would be transparent governance, corruption-free administration, and welfare-oriented policies. She expressed confidence that Telangana could provide world-class education and healthcare through honest governance and efficient use of public funds, without placing additional financial burden on the state.
