HYDRAA Has Turned Into an Agency That Troubles People, Says Eatala
BJP MP Eatala Rajender has once again launched a strong attack on HYDRAA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency), alleging that the organisation has become a tool for harassing citizens. He said that while the government has the authority to appoint officials and create departments, it does not have the right to demolish people’s homes without proper justification.
Eatala alleged that HYDRAA has created fear among the public instead of protecting assets and resolving issues.
Criticism Over CM Revanth Reddy’s Remarks on HYDRAA
Referring to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s reported remarks that HYDRAA was inspired by Hitler’s approach, Eatala Rajender strongly criticised the statement.
He said that the world has witnessed the destruction caused by Hitler and questioned the comparison. According to Eatala, using such an example while creating an institution that impacts people’s homes has sent a negative message.
He alleged that HYDRAA is now creating fear among citizens in the name of protecting government lands and water bodies.
Allegation That HYDRAA Is Targeting Poor Families
Eatala claimed that HYDRAA has gained a reputation among people as an organisation that demolishes houses belonging to poor and middle-class families.
He alleged that several families who migrated to Telangana decades ago and built homes near lakes, canals, and government lands after years of hard work have been affected by HYDRAA demolition drives.
According to him, many such families have been living in these areas for nearly 40 to 50 years and are now facing uncertainty over their homes.
Allegations of Political Misuse Against Revanth Reddy Government
The BJP MP accused the Revanth Reddy-led government of using HYDRAA for political purposes.
He alleged that while land benefits are being provided to people close to the government, pressure is being applied on those who oppose it.
Eatala claimed that HYDRAA is being used as a means to target political opponents rather than functioning as a neutral agency.
Fear Among Hyderabad Residents Over Property Purchases
Eatala Rajender said that HYDRAA’s actions have created fear among people who want to buy houses and properties in Hyderabad.
He stated that buyers are now worried about whether their properties may face demolition in the future, leading to uncertainty in the real estate sector.
HYDRAA Acting Like a Supreme Department, Says Eatala
The BJP leader alleged that HYDRAA is functioning above regular government departments such as the Revenue Department, Municipal Administration, and Home Department.
He claimed that the agency is acting like a “super department” and questioned whether it is following legal procedures and court directions.
Question Over HYDRAA’s Accountability
Eatala further alleged that HYDRAA is not respecting court orders and raised doubts over whether even the Chief Minister’s instructions are being followed by the agency.
He said the functioning of HYDRAA has created confusion among people and demanded greater accountability and transparency in its operations.
