Pulivendula, Andhra Pradesh: YS Prameelamma, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) candidate for the Pulivendula municipal chairman post, has filed her nomination ahead of the municipal elections.
Before submitting her nomination, Prameelamma, along with local party leaders and workers, paid floral tributes to the statue of the late YS Jayamma Rajareddy. She later proceeded to the nomination centre in a large rally accompanied by YSRCP leaders, party workers and supporters.
Kadapa MP and YSRCP leader YS Avinash Reddy, along with YS Manohar Reddy and other party leaders, participated in the programme and expressed their support for Prameelamma. The rally created a strong political atmosphere in Pulivendula.
YSRCP Names Prameelamma as Municipal Chairman Candidate
The YSRCP announced Prameelamma as its candidate for the Pulivendula municipal chairman post after the position was reserved for a woman belonging to the Open Category (OC). She is the wife of YS Manohar Reddy and the paternal aunt of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Prameelamma had already launched her election campaign after performing special prayers at the Ankalamman temple in Pulivendula.
Prameelamma Seeks Another Term as Municipal Chairperson
Prameelamma previously served as the chairperson of the Pulivendula municipality in 2014. With her nomination for the upcoming municipal elections, she is seeking to secure the municipal chairman’s position once again.
Her nomination, accompanied by a large rally and the participation of senior YSRCP leaders, has added to the political activity in Pulivendula as the party prepares for the municipal polls.
