YSRCP leader Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy has launched a sharp attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that the people of Rayalaseema have been neglected for the past 40 years.
Rachamallu challenged Chandrababu to publicly name even one major development project he had undertaken for Rayalaseema. He alleged that Chandrababu has consistently failed the region and accused him of having an anti-Rayalaseema attitude.
Calling Chandrababu a “betrayer of Rayalaseema,” the YSRCP leader alleged that the Chief Minister has been making promises in the name of development without delivering meaningful results to the people.
YSR and Jagan Governments Developed Rayalaseema: Rachamallu
Rachamallu said genuine development took place in Rayalaseema during the governments led by former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He criticised Chandrababu for his past remarks that agriculture was a burden and claimed that the YSR and YSRCP governments had taken several measures to support rural communities.
According to Rachamallu, the YSRCP government provided 38.74 lakh tap water connections in rural areas. He also claimed that the Jal Jeevan programme implemented during the previous government received appreciation from the Central Government.
The YSRCP leader further said that the YS Jagan government had provided safe drinking water to the Uddanam region through a project costing around Rs 700 crore.
He also claimed that several development programmes were undertaken in Tallaramapuram during the YSRCP government.
YSRCP Alleges Increase in Murders Under Coalition Government
Rachamallu also levelled serious allegations over the law-and-order situation in Rayalaseema under the present coalition government.
He claimed that between 125 and 150 people were killed in Rayalaseema after the coalition government came to power. He cited figures of 29 murders in Kurnool district, 42 in Anantapur district and 54 in Sri Sathya Sai district.
The YSRCP leader alleged that political conspiracies and betrayals have been a part of Chandrababu Naidu’s political career and demanded that the Chief Minister explain what concrete development he has delivered to Rayalaseema.
Rachamallu said the people of Rayalaseema deserve clear answers on development, drinking water, agriculture and law and order, and challenged the Chandrababu government to present its achievements in the region.
