Former Minister Ambati Rambabu strongly criticised the coalition government. He thinks they are doing it on purpose to hurt opposition leaders. He said the government made up a story about a Liquor Scam to target people who disagree with them.
Questions Government’s Different Scam Figures
Ambati Rambabu said the government first said the Liquor Scam was worth thirty thousand crores.. Then they changed it to three thousand crores. He asked why they can’t clearly say where the corruption happened. He thinks they are confusing people on purpose.
Criticism Over Notices
The former minister said authorities are sending notices to people. They are sending them to officials and also to people who just work in offices. He thinks this is creating fear. He joked that if this keeps happening even people who clean floors might get notices. According to him the investigation is now a tool for the government to get back at people.
Allegations Against Liquor Policy
Ambati Rambabu said the government is allowing big corruption by changing the states liquor rules. He said liquor shops used to be run by the government. Now they are run by people.
He thinks groups are working over the state. He said liquor shops are charging money than they should. Ambati Rambabu made some accusations. He said the money they collect illegally is going to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh.
Raises Concerns Over Liquor
The former minister is worried about fake liquor. He said one in five liquor bottles sold is fake. He thinks people who work with the ruling party are involved in selling liquor.
He talked about a case, in Mulakalacheruvu. He said Jayachandra Reddy has not been arrested even though there is proof.
SIT Being Used for Political Intimidation
Ambati Rambabu said the government made a Special Team to investigate. He thinks they chose people who will do what the government wants. He said they are using this team to scare opposition leaders. He thinks the government is using fear to control people.
