YSRCP Says Coalition Government Failed to Keep Election Promises
The YSR Congress Party has started protests over the state. They are saying the coalition government has not done what they promised during the election. The party leaders and supporters are burning copies of the manifesto and bond documents signed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
Roja Leads Big Protest in Nagari
In Nagari, Chittoor district, former minister Roja led a protest. Many party leaders and supporters were there. She said the coalition government promised to help people. Instead they are in a crisis. Roja said they promised six schemes but none are fully working and many families are not getting help.
Jogi Ramesh Criticizes Chandrababu
In Ibrahimpatnam NTR district, former minister Jogi Ramesh spoke at a protest. He said Chandrababu Naidu has been doing “politics of betrayal” for a time. Jogi Ramesh said farmers are not getting prices for their crops and the government is not keeping its promises. He said people are looking at Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as their Chief Minister.
Ambati Rambabu Talks About Unkept Promises
In Guntur former minister Ambati Rambabu said Chandrababu Naidu forgets his promises after he wins elections. He also said the government is trying to stop opposition parties from speaking out which’s not good for democracy.
Women Join Protest in Vijayawada
Many women joined a protest in Vijayawada. NTR district YSRCP president Devineni Avinash led the protest. He said the previous YSRCP government helped people with schemes but the current government is not doing what they promised. He said people are unhappy about education, jobs and help for women.
Tensions Rise in Nandyal
The protests caused tension in Nandyal district. Former MLA Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy was kept at home by police. He did not like it. He said opposition leaders are being stopped and scared for asking about promises. In Atmakur the government did not allow protests saying it was not safe.
Protests Happen Over Andhra Pradesh
YSRCP leaders and supporters also protested in Anantapur, Pulivendula, Proddatur and other places. They wore badges and carried signs asking about the TDP manifesto and the six big promises. The party is criticizing the governments performance.
More Protests Are Planned
The YSRCP is planning big protests. They will have town hall meetings on June 8 or 9 and big rallies on June 12. The party leaders want the government to explain what they have done about their promises.
