The recruitment process for 60 engineering posts in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is a problem now. YSRCP leader and former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy says that something is not right with the way the TTD recruited people for Assistant Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer and Assistant Technical Officer posts.
Questions Raised Over Recruitment Process
Bhumana Karunakar Reddy says that the TTD used a Computer-Based Test to choose people for these posts on May 10 and 11 2026. He says that a lot of people are worried about whether the recruitment process was fair.
The TTD recruitment process is not transparent.

According to Bhumana Karunakar Reddy the government first said they would recruit people in 2023. Then they stopped the process because of some legal problems with reservations for people from the Rayalaseema region.

Bhumana Karunakar Reddy says that a lot of things went wrong during the recruitment process.
He says that people are talking about how each post was being sold for a lot of money between ₹30 lakh and ₹40 lakh.
Bhumana Karunakar Reddy thinks that the TTD Chairman and some board members might be involved in this.
He wants an inquiry to find out what really happened.
Rayalaseema Candidates Allegedly Disadvantaged
Bhumana Karunakar Reddy also says that the TTD did not give engineering graduates from the 2024-25 batch a chance to apply for the posts.
He says that treating the state as one zone was not fair to people from the Rayalaseema region.
The previous government had stopped the recruitment process to make sure that people from Rayalaseema got a chance.
Concerns Over Legal Issues
Bhumana Karunakar Reddy asks why the recruitment process was allowed to continue when there were still issues to be solved.
He says that the government did not do enough to address the concerns about reservations and regional representation.
Demand for Independent Investigation
