TDP MLA Sireesha Devi’s Remarks at Party Workers’ Meeting Go Viral

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leadership often says that the party belongs to its workers and that the voice of the cadre is given importance. However, remarks made by one of the party’s MLAs have sparked a debate over the treatment of party workers. A video of TDP Rampachodavaram MLA Sireesha Devi speaking at a party workers’ meeting has gone viral on social media.

In the video, the MLA is seen expressing strong anger at party leaders and workers. Her remarks during the meeting have attracted attention and criticism from some sections of social media users.

During the party workers’ meeting in Rampachodavaram, MLA Sireesha Devi reportedly lost her temper while addressing some workers.

“Sit down. Who are you to create such a scene?” and “Are you putting on unnecessary dramas? Sit down. You are interrupting me while I am speaking,” she is heard saying in the video. Some of her remarks were also described as abusive and objectionable, drawing criticism from sections of the party cadre and social media users.

The MLA also expressed anger over the alleged failure of party workers to mobilise people for party programmes. She questioned why workers were not bringing people to party events.

“If there is any programme, not even one person brings another person along. When a programme is held, has even one of you put up a flexi with my photograph?” she reportedly asked.

‘You Don’t Work, You Can’t Get Votes, Yet You Complain Against the MLA?’

Sireesha Devi also criticised workers for allegedly failing to actively work for the party and mobilise votes.

“You don’t work, you cannot get votes, you do not work hard, and you do not organise party programmes. And then you file complaints against the MLA?” she reportedly said while expressing her frustration.

The video, said to be from a meeting involving Rampachodavaram MLA Sireesha Devi and party workers, is currently circulating widely on social media. Some netizens have criticised the manner in which the MLA is seen addressing party workers.

Remarks Trigger Political Debate

Some social media users have also made sarcastic comments questioning whether such an approach was what the MLA learned during training sessions for newly elected legislators under party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Sireesha Devi, who was elected as an MLA for the first time, has now become the subject of discussion in political circles following her reported remarks expressing strong anger towards leaders and workers of her own party.

The authenticity and full context of the video should be considered while assessing the remarks circulating on social media.
