Home Minister’s PA Faces Bribery and Influence-Peddling Allegations
Serious allegations were leveled against Jagadish, Personal Assistant (PA) to Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha. He was accused of demanding bribes for transfers, postings, and official recommendations, besides allegedly facilitating settlements. Additional allegations claimed that he pressured retail liquor outlet license holders for financial stakes and sold recommendation letters for Tirumala temple darshan. Amid mounting controversy and public pressure, he was removed from his responsibilities.
PR Officer Removed After Commission Allegations Surface
Anil Teja, who served as Public Relations Officer (PRO) to Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar, was relieved of his duties after audio recordings allegedly surfaced in which he was heard demanding commissions from contractors for clearing pending bills. He also faced criticism for allegedly drawing ₹16.20 lakh in salary over nearly 18 months despite reportedly not attending work regularly, leading to further questions about administrative oversight.
Complaints Against Tribal Welfare Minister’s PA Trigger Political Row
Satish, PA to Tribal Welfare Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani, faced allegations of accepting money by promising a compassionate appointment and later sexually harassing the complainant. A complaint was reportedly filed with the Superintendent of Police’s office. However, the subsequent arrest of the complainant instead of the accused generated significant controversy, with opposition parties accusing the government of mishandling the case.
Gudivada MLA’s PA Accused of Illegal Collections
Rasuri Sashidev, PA to Gudivada MLA Venigandla Ramu, also came under scrutiny over allegations of collecting commissions in matters related to transfers, sand operations, and ration rice. Reports claimed that he amassed illegal wealth while the MLA was on a foreign tour. Following growing public criticism, he was reportedly removed from his position.
Kadapa MLA’s PA Faces Fraud and Marriage Scam Allegations
Wahid, PA to Kadapa MLA Madhavi Reddy, was accused of deceiving single women by promising them government jobs and subsequently marrying them under false pretenses. Allegations also emerged that a family member of one of the victims was assaulted. According to reports, the MLA’s family intervened and removed him from his responsibilities following mounting public pressure.

These incidents have intensified criticism that some PAs and PROs attached to ministers and legislators are allegedly misusing their positions and authority. Public organizations argue that elected representatives must take responsibility for the actions of their personal staff and ensure greater transparency and accountability in governance.
