Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh made some comments during a press conference in Hyderabad on Telangana Formation Day. These comments have started a debate in politics. He said that the former Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy had tried to hurt him. Many people in politics are objecting to what he said.
This argument is now bigger than just people talking. It’s being discussed a lot in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana politics.
KVP Ramachandra Rao Fights Back
KVP Ramachandra Rao, a Rajya Sabha member wrote an open letter to Pawan Kalyan. He said that it’s okay for the Congress party to remember Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He doesn’t think Pawan Kalyan’s allegations against him are true.
KVP also questioned how Pawan Kalyan knew that a senior police officer had told him about supposed plots involving YSR.
Questions About Plots
In his letter KVP Ramachandra Rao asked how Pawan Kalyan’s allegations made sense. He said there’s no proof that political cases were filed against Pawan Kalyan when YSR was Chief Minister.
He also said it’s unlikely that leaders like YSR would talk to police officials about politics like that. He called Pawan Kalyan’s claims inconsistent.
Open Challenge and ₹10 Crore Offer
KVP Ramachandra Rao challenged Pawan Kalyan publicly. He said if the police officer Pawan Kalyan mentioned says, under a lie detector test that YSR made those comments then he and YSR supporters will give ₹10 crore to the Telangana Chief Minister’s Relief Fund or to a charity Pawan Kalyan suggests.
He also told Pawan Kalyan to stand by what he said and accept the challenge.
Politics Behind the Allegations
KVP talked about the politics of 2005-06. He said the Congress party and YSR were very popular then.
He said there was no reason for YSR to target Pawan Kalyan especially since Pawan or his family weren’t active in elections then.
Remarks on Criticism and History
The former MP said that when Pawan Kalyan was president of Yuvarajyam he criticized Congress leaders but nothing happened to him.
He said making allegations against a leader like YSR without proof isn’t right in politics.
Will the Argument Keep Going?
KVP Ramachandra Rao also said that people shouldn’t link the denial of permission for a meeting in Telangana, to YSR or the Congress party. He said political disagreements should be discussed directly.
The big question now is:
Will Pawan Kalyan respond to KVP’s challenge or will this controversy go away?
