Another sensational development has come to light regarding alleged irregularities in the sports quota selections under Mega DSC-2025. Allegations that some candidates secured government jobs using fake Kho-Kho participation certificates despite not taking part in the tournaments have caused concern.
Candidate Allegedly Submitted 2015 Kho-Kho Certificate
PVC H Basaveswara Rao from Chittoor district is alleged to have secured a job under the sports quota by submitting a certificate claiming that he participated in the 49th AP Senior Inter-District Kho-Kho Championship, held in Gudivada in 2015.
However, questions have now been raised over the authenticity of the certificate. In the team photograph of the 12-member Prakasam district team that participated in the tournament, neither Basaveswara Rao’s name nor his photograph reportedly appears.
According to information available, former general secretary of the Kho-Kho association Mekala Seetharamireddy also stated that Basaveswara Rao had not participated in the tournament.
Objections Raised Over Two More Sports Certificates
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Kho-Kho Association has also raised objections regarding the sports certificates submitted by Chilla Mohinidevi and CH Yogeswara Rao.
The association reportedly clarified that their names do not appear in the official records of the concerned tournament. It also stated that it had not received any communication from the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) seeking verification of their certificates.
Questions Over Sports Quota Selection Process
The latest allegations have raised serious questions over the selection process under the sports quota in Mega DSC-2025.
Despite doubts reportedly being raised in advance over the certificates submitted by some candidates selected under the sports quota, questions are now being asked about how such candidates were ultimately given government jobs.
Demand for Strict Action if Certificates Are Fake
The Kho-Kho association has reportedly demanded strict action against those responsible if an investigation establishes that the certificates are fake.
The developments have intensified doubts surrounding the Mega DSC-2025 sports quota selection process, with demands growing for a thorough verification of the certificates and the eligibility of candidates selected under the quota.
