Kavitha Issues Official Appointment Orders
Telangana Jagruthi founder Kalvakuntla Kavitha has officially appointed Maripally Madhavi as the State President of Telangana Jagruthi. Kavitha issued the appointment orders on Monday and announced that the decision would come into effect immediately.
She stated that the new president has been entrusted with the responsibility of expanding the organisation’s future programmes and taking its activities to a wider level across the state.
Telangana Jagruthi’s Two-Decade Journey
Kavitha said that Telangana Jagruthi has been working continuously for the past two decades with the objectives of promoting Telangana’s cultural revival and protecting the self-respect of the Telangana identity.
She recalled that the organisation was founded in 2006 during the peak phase of the Telangana statehood movement. Since then, Telangana Jagruthi has conducted several programmes aimed at showcasing Telangana’s history, culture, traditions, and heritage to people across the world.
Key Role in Promoting Bathukamma Festival Globally
Kavitha highlighted the significant role played by Telangana Jagruthi in transforming Bathukamma, which was once largely confined to Telangana villages, into a globally recognised cultural festival.
She stated that the organisation turned Bathukamma celebrations into a platform for the Telangana movement and successfully involved thousands of women in the struggle for statehood. The festival became a symbol of Telangana’s cultural identity and collective spirit during the movement.
Kavitha to Continue as Founder Chairperson
Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who served as the founding president of Telangana Jagruthi for nearly two decades, will now continue in the role of Founder Chairperson.
Expressing confidence in the new leadership, Kavitha said that under the guidance of Maripally Madhavi, Telangana Jagruthi will become stronger and continue working towards achieving the organisation’s goals.
She hoped that the new president would successfully carry forward the vision and mission of Telangana Jagruthi through expanded programmes and initiatives.
