A kidnapping case has been registered in Bengaluru against Mydukur TDP MLA Putta Sudhakar Yadav and his son Putta Ravikumar. The case was registered at the Rajarajeshwarinagar Police Station based on a complaint filed by Sabina, wife of BJP leader and businessman Dr. Raviprakash.
Sabina Alleges Husband Was Kidnapped
According to the complaint, a group of unidentified persons arrived in four vehicles and allegedly kidnapped Raviprakash. Sabina reportedly informed the police that her husband was taken away by the group.
Based on her complaint, the Rajarajeshwarinagar police registered a case. Putta Sudhakar Yadav and his son Putta Ravikumar have reportedly been named as Accused No. 2 (A2) and Accused No. 3 (A3) respectively.
The alleged kidnapping of a BJP leader in Bengaluru has become a major talking point in both Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Raviprakash Produced Before Mydukur Police
Meanwhile, another development in the case has raised questions. BJP leader Raviprakash was produced before the police in Mydukur.
It is learnt that Raviprakash and Putta Ravikumar have been involved in a land dispute for some time. In connection with the dispute, Mydukur police had earlier registered a case against Raviprakash for allegedly assaulting a person named Muralimohan.
14-Day Judicial Remand
The case was reportedly registered in July. Raviprakash was recently produced before the Mydukur court in connection with the case.
The court subsequently imposed 14 days of judicial remand, following which Raviprakash was shifted to Kadapa Central Jail.
How Was Raviprakash Taken Into Custody?
While Raviprakash’s wife has alleged that her husband was kidnapped in Bengaluru by people who arrived in four vehicles at the behest of the TDP MLA, several questions remain unanswered.
Videos allegedly related to the incident have also gone viral on social media. This has raised questions over whether Raviprakash was handed over to the Mydukur police after the alleged kidnapping, or whether the police themselves went to Bengaluru in four vehicles in plain clothes and took him into custody.
The exact circumstances surrounding Raviprakash’s detention and his transfer to Mydukur are yet to be established.
