Jada Shravan Kumar Criticises Anitha Over DSC Protest Rowdy Sheet Claims

Vijayawada: Jai Bheemrao Bharat Party president Jada Shravan Kumar has criticised Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha over her remarks on the recent DSC protest at the State Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) office. He alleged that cases and rowdy sheets were being used against people who participated in political protests.

Anitha had earlier claimed that around 60 to 70 per cent of those involved in the SAAP incident had criminal backgrounds, including rowdy-sheet and suspect-sheet records, attempted murder cases and serious POCSO cases. She also presented photographs and police case details while defending the government’s action.

Shravan Kumar Questions Rowdy Sheet Action

Jada Shravan Kumar questioned the government’s decision to treat participants in political protests as criminals based on cases registered during political agitations.

He said democratic protests are a constitutional part of public life and alleged that registering cases against opposition leaders and activists was being used as a form of political pressure.

According to Shravan Kumar, several former MLAs and YSRCP youth leaders were shown as having multiple cases against them. He questioned the basis for describing protesters as rowdy sheeters while citing cases linked to political movements.

Political Vendetta Allegation

Shravan Kumar alleged that the coalition government of the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP was focusing on opposition parties instead of concentrating on development, welfare and employment.

He described the government’s approach as political vendetta and argued that people should not be branded as criminals merely because they participated in political protests or agitations.

He also questioned whether the same criteria would have been applied to Nara Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan for cases registered during their political protests when they were in the opposition.

Questions on Chartered Flights

Shravan Kumar also raised questions about the reported use of chartered flights by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh.

He demanded that the government clarify who bears the cost of such travel and called for greater transparency regarding public expenditure.

Liquor Scam Chargesheet Questioned

Shravan Kumar further criticised the government’s handling of the liquor scam investigation. He alleged that the CID chargesheet did not contain sufficient direct evidence or cash seizures and accused the government of relying on allegations to target political opponents and officials.

These claims represent Shravan Kumar’s political criticism and have not been independently established by the information cited above.

Focus on Jobs, Prices and Farmers

Shravan Kumar urged the Andhra Pradesh government to focus on issues affecting the public, particularly employment for unemployed youth, rising prices of essential commodities and farmers’ concerns.

He also called for an end to what he described as politically motivated action against opposition leaders and government officials, arguing that the government should prioritise governance and public welfare.

The wider dispute comes amid an ongoing political confrontation over the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process and the protests surrounding it. Home Minister Anitha has defended the government’s handling of the recruitment issue and accused YSRCP supporters involved in the SAAP episode of violence.
