Hyderabad Rayadurg Hit-and-Run Case: Art Director Anand Sai’s Son Sandeep Arrested

A horrific hit-and-run incident in Hyderabad’s Rayadurg area has triggered widespread concern. The arrest of Sandeep, son of renowned art director Anand Sai, who is reportedly close to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, has brought further attention to the case. In two consecutive road accidents, a Bihar native identified as Nandulal lost his life, while a student, Zaid Shah Khadri, sustained serious injuries.

Two Consecutive Accidents on Rayadurg Road

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on the ORR Rotary–Khajaguda main road under the jurisdiction of Rayadurgam Police Station.

Nandulal was reportedly hit by a speeding Innova car and suffered severe injuries, falling onto the road. While Zaid Shah Khadri was attempting to help Nandulal and arrange for his transportation to a hospital, another Mahindra car allegedly came from behind and collided with their vehicle.

Nandulal died in the second accident, while Zaid sustained serious injuries.

Vehicles Allegedly Fled the Scene

Following the accidents, allegations emerged that the vehicles involved did not stop at the scene and fled. Police subsequently launched an investigation based on CCTV camera footage from the area.

During the investigation, police reportedly identified a vehicle linked to Sandeep and took him into custody. The police are also said to have seized the vehicles allegedly involved in the incident.

Calls for Transparency in the Investigation

The case has also raised questions over the investigation process, the sections invoked by police and the action likely to be taken against those accused.

Several people are demanding complete transparency in the investigation. Telangana activists have reportedly urged the police to disclose clear details so that there are no doubts about the probe, particularly when individuals with political or social influence are involved.

Questions Over Equal Application of Law

The controversy comes against the backdrop of criticism over the investigation into road accident cases involving the sons of politically influential individuals, including the son of Jana Sena MP Lingamaneni.

Against this backdrop, questions are being raised over whether the law will be applied equally in the present case as well.

Demand for Swift and Impartial Justice

Public opinion is growing in favour of a speedy, impartial and transparent investigation. People are demanding that all those responsible be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law and that justice be ensured for Nandulal’s family.

The focus is now on the police investigation and whether the authorities will provide clear information regarding the circumstances of the accidents, the vehicles involved and the action being taken against the accused.
