DSC Irregularities Allegations: YSRCP Demands CBI Probe

Allegations of Fake Sports and Caste Certificates

Allegations have surfaced of irregularities in the District Selection Committee (DSC) teacher recruitment process, with claims that some candidates secured teaching jobs through fraudulent means using fake sports certificates.

YSRCP leaders and DSC victims claim that substantial evidence related to the alleged irregularities has already come to light. There are also allegations that fake caste certificates were created and used to secure teacher posts through backdoor methods.

DSC victims and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) workers have expressed anger over the government’s alleged reluctance to order even a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe despite what they describe as visible irregularities in the recruitment process.

Peaceful Protest Called at SAAP Office

Against this backdrop, DSC victims and YSRCP workers called for peaceful protests and dharnas at the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) office in Vijayawada, demanding a comprehensive investigation into the alleged irregularities.

The protesters have been demanding transparency in the recruitment process and a probe into appointments allegedly secured through sports quota and other disputed certificates.

YSRCP Alleges Attack on Protesters

YSRCP leaders have alleged that members of Minister Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam team attacked the protesters during the demonstration.

According to the YSRCP, the alleged attacks were carried out by individuals who appeared to be dressed as teachers. The party alleged that the attackers used lathis and targeted protesters under the direction of Lokesh.

The allegations have sparked a political controversy, with YSRCP leaders questioning the use of force against people participating in a peaceful protest.

Allegations of Attack on Persons with Disabilities

YSRCP leaders have also alleged that persons with disabilities were among those participating in the protest and claimed that they were also targeted during the incident.

The alleged incident has drawn criticism from YSRCP leaders, who said that attacking protesters, including persons with disabilities, was particularly disturbing. The issue has subsequently triggered discussion in political circles.

Alleged Threats at SAAP Office

YSRCP leaders further alleged that members of the Yuvagalam team issued threats at the SAAP office, claiming that they would go to the extent of killing anyone who opposed Lokesh.

The YSRCP leaders alleged that such developments indicated what they described as a “Jungle Raj” in the state, where political opponents were allegedly being targeted for raising questions over the government’s functioning.

YSRCP Accuses Supportive Media of Cover-Up

Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders alleged that sections of the media supportive of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) were attempting to downplay the alleged violence by portraying the Yuvagalam members involved as teachers.

They questioned whether protesters could be attacked simply for raising questions about alleged corruption and irregularities in government recruitment.

According to the YSRCP leaders, ordinary citizens were also questioning the alleged use of force against those demanding an investigation into the DSC recruitment process.

Demand for Probe into Sports and EWS Quota Appointments

YSRCP leaders said that neither climbing the Kondareddy Buruju nor allegedly entering the SAAP office and attacking DSC victims while posing as teachers could hide the alleged irregularities.

They demanded a comprehensive investigation into candidates who allegedly secured teacher jobs through irregularities involving the sports quota and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificates.

The party has called for the identification of candidates who allegedly obtained appointments through fraudulent or ineligible certificates and for appropriate action against those found responsible.

Demand for CBI Investigation and Action

DSC victims and YSRCP leaders have demanded that the state government order a CBI investigation into the alleged recruitment irregularities.

They also called for the identification and prosecution of individuals who allegedly entered the teaching profession using fraudulent means, arguing that protecting the integrity of the education system was essential.

The protesters expressed concern that if students are taught by individuals who allegedly secured appointments without meeting the required eligibility criteria, it could have an impact on their education and future.

YSRCP leaders and various other sections have demanded a comprehensive investigation into the DSC recruitment process, action against those found responsible for irregularities, a CBI probe, and the resignation of Minister Nara Lokesh.
