The statement further declares that the individual it accuses of shedding Iraqi blood, displacing civilians, and targeting its leaders, children, and scholars “will never live in peace.” It also says Trump deserves “nothing but humiliation” and vows to continue its struggle until what it describes as “the fortresses of oppression collapse.”

Background: 2020 Drone Strike That Killed Soleimani
The controversy stems from the U.S. drone strike in January 2020 near Baghdad International Airport, in which Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force, and Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were killed.
