Allegations of irregularities and malpractice in the DSC recruitment conducted by the alliance government in Andhra Pradesh are intensifying day by day. Amid ongoing protests across the state over the conduct of the DSC examination and the allocation of jobs, a fresh allegation has now emerged that a woman was allegedly cheated after paying ₹14.5 lakh on the promise of securing a government job.
DSC Victim Approaches YS Jagan
DSC aspirant Radhika brought the alleged incident to the attention of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. She alleged that she was asked to pay ₹14.5 lakh with the assurance that she would be given a DSC job under the sports quota.
Job Promised in Minister Lokesh’s Quota
According to Radhika, she was convinced that she could secure a DSC job through the quota associated with Minister Nara Lokesh. She alleged that Medikonda Jyothi and Adapa Bhanu Prakash, whom she identified as TDP activists, collected money from her after assuring her that she could get a DSC job without even appearing for the examination.
Radhika further alleged that the job supposedly meant for her was eventually given to someone else, leaving her cheated. She also claimed that money was allegedly collected from the person who ultimately received the job.
No Action Despite Police Complaint
Radhika said she approached the police and lodged a complaint regarding the alleged fraud. However, she claimed that nearly ten months had passed without any action being taken against those named in her complaint.
She also alleged that some TDP leaders had threatened to kill her. According to Radhika, she approached the Superintendent of Police’s office as well, but received no response.
Allegation Over School Assistant Post
Radhika alleged that she was specifically promised a School Assistant Social Studies post but was ultimately denied the job despite paying the money. She claimed to have evidence related to the alleged transaction and stated that the authorities had failed to take action against the accused.
She said she explained the entire incident to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and sought justice in the matter.
DSC Job Sale Allegations Trigger Fresh Debate
The latest allegation has become a fresh political flashpoint at a time when audio recordings allegedly linked to the sale of DSC jobs have already triggered controversy. The emergence of a woman claiming to have personally lost ₹14.5 lakh over a job promise has added further fuel to the debate surrounding the recruitment process.
Calls for a Comprehensive Investigation
The allegations have raised questions over the extent of irregularities, if any, in the DSC recruitment conducted by the alliance government. Several people are demanding a comprehensive investigation to establish the facts and determine whether any wrongdoing took place.
Critics are also questioning why the government has not agreed to a CBI investigation despite the allegations and other controversies surrounding the DSC recruitment. A thorough probe, they argue, is necessary to establish the truth and provide justice to those who claim to have been cheated.
