Chandrababu's rule is riddled with deceit: Jagan' scathing criticism.

The political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh has intensified over the Mega DSC recruitment process. YSRCP President and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged that there are serious irregularities in the recruitment process. He said the handling of the Mega DSC has unfairly affected the lives and future of thousands of unemployed youth in the state.

Speaking to the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli on Thursday, Jagan strongly criticized the Chandrababu Naidu-led government over the issue.

Strong Criticism of the Chandrababu Naidu Government

Jagan accused the TDP-led government of dishonesty and deception. He alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had been misleading people from the very beginning and had failed to keep the promises made to unemployed youth.

According to Jagan, the Mega DSC recruitment process has turned into another scam. He claimed that Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh had betrayed the trust of thousands of job aspirants across Andhra Pradesh.

Comparison With Previous Recruitment Processes

Jagan said that Andhra Pradesh had never witnessed such a problematic recruitment process in the past. He recalled that during the YSRCP government’s tenure, 6,100 teacher posts were announced, but the process was later interrupted due to changing circumstances and subsequent announcements.

He questioned whether the current recruitment drive truly deserved to be called a “Mega DSC” when the government was already struggling to fill around 16,000 vacancies smoothly.

YSRCP Government’s Recruitment Record

Highlighting his government’s performance, Jagan said the YSRCP had conducted one of the largest recruitment drives in the country.

According to him, the achievements included:

  • Filling 1.30 lakh government jobs within a year through a single recruitment initiative.
  • Conducting the entire process in a transparent and error-free manner.
  • Strengthening village administration and improving the delivery of public services.

Timeline of the Recruitment Process Under YSRCP

Jagan explained the sequence of events during his tenure:

  • He assumed office as Chief Minister on May 30, 2019.
  • A Government Order was issued on July 19, just 50 days later.
  • Recruitment notifications were released between July 25 and July 27.
  • Applications were accepted from July 27 to August 10.
  • Examinations were conducted from September 1 to September 8.

Large-Scale Examination Process

Jagan stated that the examinations were held across 2,800 centres, with nearly 19 lakh candidates appearing for the tests. He said the entire process was completed smoothly and without any major issues.

He added that 1.30 lakh permanent government jobs were filled and that those employees are currently serving in villages and other departments across the state.

Completion of Recruitment and Criticism of Mega DSC

Jagan pointed out that the recruitment process under his government was completed within four months, ending on October 2, which he described as a major administrative achievement.

In contrast, he criticized the current Mega DSC recruitment process as confusing and poorly managed. He questioned why many families and unemployed youth were being forced to suffer because of the alleged irregularities and delays.

Jagan demanded that Chandrababu Naidu explain the difficulties faced by job aspirants and clarify why the government had failed to ensure a smooth and transparent recruitment process.

The Mega DSC recruitment issue has now become a major political flashpoint in Andhra Pradesh. Through his criticism, Jagan has sought to portray the process as unfair to unemployed youth and has accused the Chandrababu Naidu-led government of failing to protect their interests and aspirations.
