Special CBI Court Delivers Key Verdict
In a significant development in the high-profile murder case of former Andhra Pradesh Minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, the Special CBI Court at Nampally has dismissed a petition filed by his daughter Narreddy Sunitha, seeking a further investigation into the case.
The court ruled that there was no need for an additional probe, as the investigation had already been completed and a charge sheet had been filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Sunitha Sought Comprehensive Investigation
In her petition, Narreddy Sunitha argued that the investigation conducted so far was not comprehensive and that several crucial aspects of the case remained unexplored.
She contended that identifying the actual masterminds behind Vivekananda Reddy’s murder required a more detailed investigation. According to her plea, several suspected individuals still needed to be questioned, and she requested the court to direct the CBI to conduct a further probe.
CBI Says Investigation Is Complete
During the hearing, CBI officials informed the court that the investigation had been carried out thoroughly from every possible angle and that a detailed charge sheet had already been submitted.
The agency also clarified that it would undertake any further investigation only if directed by the court, but maintained that the existing investigation was complete.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the Special CBI Court observed that the investigation had already been concluded and the charge sheet filed.
Taking this into consideration, the court held that there was no justification for ordering a fresh or further investigation at this stage and dismissed Sunitha’s petition.
