“Babu’s Promises Are a Guarantee of Deception” – Jagan Fires on Chandrababu’s Governance

A big meeting of the YSR Congress Party was held in Tadepalli. The party president, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was also the Chief Minister led the meeting. Many important leaders, district presidents, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other key people attended. They talked about crucial issues. These included plans for the party, local body elections promises made by the government and voters.

Criticism of Coalition Government

Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He said the coalition government has failed the people in the two years.

He said the promises made, like giving ₹18,000 to women every year pension schemes for people over 50 and unemployment allowance have not been kept. He said these promises were like “Super-6” and “Super-7” but are nowhere to be seen. He also said that “Babus guarantee” has turned into a lie.

Allegations on Fuel Prices and Tax Burden

Jagan also criticized the government for not reducing petrol and diesel prices. He said the burden on citizens has increased instead.

He pointed out that the government could have reduced state taxes but did not. He said people are getting unhappy and the Chief Minister is not taking criticism well.

Accusations of Diversion Politics

The YSRCP chief accused the coalition government of not developing the state. Instead they are creating controversies to distract people.

He said people are not foolish and will remember who worked for their welfare. He also said that welfare programs were done well during the YSR and YSRCP times.

“Two Years of Betrayal” Campaign Announced

Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced a campaign called “Two Years of Betrayal”. This is to show the failures of the Chandrababu Naidu government.

A booklet of promises was also released.

Protest Schedule Announced:

  • June 4–12: Protests over the state
  • June 4: Protests at mandal headquarters
  • June 8 or 9: Town hall meetings at the constituency level
  • June 12: Big rallies all over the state

He asked all party members to participate and said he would monitor the programs.

Focus on Local Body Elections

The meeting also focused on body elections. Jagan told leaders to take them seriously.

He said there were irregularities in corporation by-elections. He accused the administration of misusing police forces.

He said no unanimous elections should happen. He warned that if they do it would be a failure of the in-charges.

He told leaders to work with village committees to find candidates and spread welfare messages.

Concerns Over Voter Roll (SIR Process)

Jagan raised concerns about the Special Intensive Revision process. He said many voter names were deleted in states.

He gave examples from West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. He warned that even small deletions can affect election results.

Call for Grassroots Vigilance

Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy ended the meeting by saying leaders and workers must be alert about voter history and electoral processes.

He asked for grassroots mobilization. He warned that small irregularities, in voter rolls can change election results.
