The allegations being made for months by opposition parties and DSC–2025 aspirants over irregularities in the Sports Quota recruitment process have gained fresh attention following a recent incident in Kurnool. Allegations that a candidate was selected for the Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) post without possessing TET eligibility have triggered a major debate.
Kurnool TET Eligibility Row Sparks Controversy
The issue came to light in Valluru in Kurnool district, where the District Education Officer (DEO) conducted an inquiry into the allegations. According to reports, the concerned candidate reportedly admitted during the inquiry that he did not have the required Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualification.
This has raised serious questions over how a candidate who allegedly did not meet the mandatory eligibility criteria was selected for a government teacher post through DSC–2025.
YSRCP Alleges Irregularities in DSC Recruitment
YSRCP MLC Varudu Kalyani alleged that the irregularities in the DSC–2025 recruitment process were gradually coming to light. She demanded an immediate CBI investigation into the allegations surrounding Sports Quota appointments and the alleged question paper leak.
Speaking at a media conference in Visakhapatnam, Varudu Kalyani questioned the government over how a candidate from Kurnool, Prabhakar Goud, could allegedly be given a teacher post despite not having TET eligibility.
Varudu Kalyani Demands Government Answers
Varudu Kalyani said the government should not merely challenge the opposition to a debate on the DSC issue. Instead, she demanded that the government explain the allegations and clarify how such an appointment was possible.
She claimed that the allegations raised by the YSRCP from the beginning were now gaining credibility following the latest developments. She also said there was a need to conduct a comprehensive investigation to determine whether more irregularities had taken place in the DSC–2025 recruitment process.
Demand for Nara Lokesh’s Resignation
Varudu Kalyani demanded that Education Minister Nara Lokesh take moral responsibility for the alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process and resign from his post.
She also urged Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to respond to the controversy and order a comprehensive investigation into the allegations.
Calls Grow for a Comprehensive DSC Probe
The latest Kurnool episode has intensified the political debate surrounding the DSC–2025 recruitment process, particularly the Sports Quota appointments. Opposition leaders and candidates are demanding clarity on the eligibility verification process and alleged irregularities.
The controversy is now likely to put further pressure on the government to explain how an allegedly ineligible candidate was selected and whether similar cases occurred elsewhere in the recruitment process.
