Former Andhra Pradesh minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Ambati Rambabu has reportedly been issued a notice by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) directing him to appear for questioning. According to officials, Rambabu was informed about the notice over the phone and has been asked to appear in person at the ED office for the inquiry.
The development has triggered discussions over the possible next steps in the ED investigation and what further action may follow.
Ambati Rambabu Alleges Political Conspiracy
Responding to the ED notice, Ambati Rambabu alleged that a conspiracy was being carried out against him. He claimed that Union Minister Pemmasani was attempting to implicate him in a liquor-related case and questioned what connection he had with the case.
Rambabu also alleged that leaders of the ruling alliance were engaging in politically motivated actions against YSRCP leaders. He asserted that he and his party leaders would not be intimidated by cases or threats.
Allegations Over Social Media Posts
Speaking to the media in Tadepalli, Rambabu also alleged that YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was being portrayed in a derogatory manner on social media by TDP supporters.
He further alleged that AI technology was being used to create objectionable portrayals of YSRCP leaders. Rambabu claimed that cases were being registered against them whenever they posted content on social media.
Claim Over Removal of Critical Posts
Rambabu also alleged that social media posts questioning alleged irregularities by the government were being removed in the name of the FBI. He criticized the government over what he described as attempts to suppress criticism and reiterated that his party would continue to raise issues concerning the government.
The ED notice and Rambabu’s allegations have now become a subject of political discussion, with attention focused on the course of the agency’s inquiry and any further developments.
