The controversy surrounding alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process in Andhra Pradesh is growing day by day. Complaints and allegations emerging from several districts have raised serious questions over the transparency of the recruitment process.
In particular, complaints regarding eligibility criteria, validity of certificates and changes in category under the Sports Quota, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Quota and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category have created concern among candidates.
Kurnool: Candidate Allegedly Secured SGT Job Using Fake Sports Certificates
In Kurnool district, allegations have been raised against a candidate named Prabhakar Goud, who allegedly secured an SGT (Secondary Grade Teacher) post under the Sports Quota despite reportedly not qualifying in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
According to the complaints, Prabhakar Goud, a resident of Ratnapalli in Veldurthi mandal, allegedly used fake or forged sports certificates to secure the appointment. He was reportedly posted as a teacher at Valluru MPPS.
The allegations have raised questions over the verification of sports certificates and the eligibility criteria followed during the recruitment process.
Srikakulam: Brother Allegedly Used Another Person’s Boxing Certificate
In Srikakulam district, allegations have also surfaced regarding the appointment of Pedda Appalaraju, who reportedly secured a teacher post under the Boxing Sports Quota.
Complaints allege that it was not Pedda Appalaraju but his younger brother, Panda Appalaraju, who actually participated in the boxing competitions. It is alleged that the certificate belonging to the younger brother was used by the elder brother to secure the teacher appointment.
The allegations have led to questions over whether the candidates’ identities and original sports participation records were properly verified.
Kurnool: Questions Over Sports Quota Appointments of Couple
The appointments of Karishma and Imam, a couple from Kurnool district, under the Sports Quota have also come under scrutiny.
The couple reportedly hails from Dornipadu, while complaints allege that their Judo certificates mention the wife’s native place as Vizianagaram and the husband’s as Visakhapatnam.
There are also allegations that a Judo certificate belonging to a sportsperson named Harikrishna was allegedly forged and used for securing appointments for both the husband and wife.
The allegations have raised concerns regarding the authenticity of the certificates submitted under the Sports Quota.
Kadapa: Questions Over EWS Category Appointment
In Kadapa district, questions have been raised over the appointment of Munavvar Rasool, who reportedly secured an SA (School Assistant) teacher post under the EWS category.
According to complaints, Rasool had previously appeared for the 2008, 2012 and 2018 DSC examinations under the BC-E category. However, he reportedly appeared for the 2025 Mega DSC under the EWS category and secured a job.
This has raised a key question: Under what rules did the Mydukur revenue authorities issue an EWS certificate to a person who had previously possessed official certificates identifying him under the BC-E category?
The circumstances surrounding the issuance and verification of the EWS certificate have therefore come under scrutiny.
PwD Quota Also Faces Allegations of Irregularities
The allegations are not limited to the Sports Quota. Complaints have also emerged regarding alleged irregularities in appointments made under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Quota.
In Kadapa district, complaints have reportedly been filed against Subhashini, who secured a job under the PwD category.
Another candidate, Bhaskar Reddy, alleged that she did not secure the required qualifying marks in the TET under the Open Category but nevertheless obtained a teacher appointment through the PwD quota.
Questions have also been raised regarding the validity of the disability certificate submitted by her. Complaints reportedly questioned why the medical certification was obtained from another district instead of the local district.
Allegations Over Fake Judo Tournament Certificates
Another complaint concerns a candidate named Sudharani, who reportedly secured a teacher post under the Sports Quota.
She has been accused of allegedly creating fake sports certificates showing that a Judo tournament had taken place and that she had participated in it, even though the tournament itself allegedly did not take place.
If established through an investigation, such allegations could raise serious questions over the verification of sports participation records and certificates submitted during the recruitment process.
Growing Demands for a Transparent Investigation
The district-wise complaints and allegations emerging in connection with DSC-2025 teacher recruitment have raised serious doubts over the transparency and integrity of the recruitment process.
The allegations involve several aspects, including Sports Quota certificates, PwD certificates, EWS eligibility, category changes and TET qualification requirements.
However, the allegations are yet to be conclusively established through an independent investigation. A detailed investigation and verification of the relevant records would be necessary to determine whether any irregularities actually took place.
Against this backdrop, the government’s alleged reluctance to order a CBI investigation has itself become a subject of political and public debate, with critics questioning why a comprehensive probe has not been initiated to establish the facts and expose any possible irregularities.
