Perni Nani Slams Chandrababu Government: Why Should People Vote for It Again?

Former Andhra Pradesh minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Perni Nani has strongly criticised the coalition government over rising essential commodity prices, corruption allegations and unfulfilled election promises ahead of the local body elections.

Speaking to the media in Machilipatnam on Tuesday, Perni Nani questioned why people should vote for the TDP-led coalition government again. He alleged that the government was imposing a financial burden on the public while its leaders were talking about honesty and integrity during the election campaign.

Perni Nani Criticises Chandrababu Naidu Over Rising Prices

Perni Nani said rising prices of rice, onions, petrol and diesel were putting additional pressure on ordinary households. He questioned Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu over his pre-election promises to reduce prices and asked why those assurances had not been fulfilled.

The YSRCP leader also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu had failed to control corruption allegations against ruling party MLAs. He questioned the Chief Minister’s claims about honesty and good governance in the state.

YSRCP Leader Targets Coalition Leaders Over Travel Expenses

Perni Nani criticised Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and other coalition leaders, alleging that they were travelling in special aircraft and helicopters while ordinary people continued to face financial difficulties.

He said the government should focus on public concerns, including rising living costs and the implementation of election promises, instead of seeking another mandate without addressing these issues.

Questions Raised Over AP Local Body Elections

The former minister also questioned the government’s approach to local body elections in Andhra Pradesh. He asked why people were not being given adequate opportunities to elect their preferred leaders at the local level, including Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs), municipalities and mandal-level institutions.

Perni Nani also criticised Pawan Kalyan’s appeal to Jana Sena Party workers to make sacrifices. He argued that people had already faced a financial burden for the past two-and-a-half years and questioned why the coalition leaders were seeking votes again without first addressing public concerns.

Perni Nani Demands Answers Before Seeking Votes

Perni Nani demanded that the coalition government explain its record on election promises, price control and corruption allegations before asking people for votes in the local body elections.

His remarks have added to the political debate between the YSRCP and the ruling coalition in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the local polls.
