Internal differences within the Jana Sena Party have once again come to the forefront in Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s home constituency, Pithapuram. A press conference held by Jana Sena leaders in U. Kothapalli mandal reportedly turned chaotic, exposing growing group politics and differences among local party leaders.
The latest developments have triggered a political debate over whether Pawan Kalyan is losing his grip over the party organisation in Pithapuram.
Local Leaders Express Discontent Over Uday Srinivas
Several local Jana Sena leaders have reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of Kakinada MP Uday Srinivas. Some leaders have alleged that those who worked for the Jana Sena and Pawan Kalyan from the early days are being sidelined.
According to the dissatisfied leaders, greater importance is being given to people who joined the party after the elections and to groups considered close to Uday Srinivas. They claim that this approach has contributed to growing differences within the Pithapuram constituency.
Pawan Kalyan’s Pithapuram Visit Sparks Discussion
Pawan Kalyan’s recent visit to Pithapuram after a long gap has also become a topic of discussion among local party circles. Some Jana Sena leaders have alleged that senior leaders and grassroots workers were not informed in advance about certain party meetings and programmes linked to his visit.
The lack of coordination, they claim, affected the participation of local party leaders and cadres during the Deputy Chief Minister’s programme.
Criticism Over Barricades and Low Cadre Participation
Pawan Kalyan’s visit also reportedly drew criticism over the arrangements made around his programmes. Critics alleged that the Deputy Chief Minister remained largely separated from the public and party workers by iron barricades.
There has also been local discussion that around 7,000 meals remained unused due to lower-than-expected participation by party workers and local leaders. However, these claims are part of the local political discussion and require independent verification.
Questions Over Jana Sena’s Organisation in Pithapuram
The latest developments have brought the spotlight back on Jana Sena internal disputes in Pithapuram. Differences among local leaders, allegations of sidelining senior cadres and concerns over coordination have raised questions about the party’s organisational strength in Pawan Kalyan’s own constituency.
With Pithapuram being politically significant for Pawan Kalyan, the continuing internal differences could become a challenge for the Jana Sena leadership if they are not addressed.
