Spain reached the Hockey World Cup final for the third time, but once again failed to win the title.
One of the major setbacks for Spain in the final was its failure to convert its penalty corners. Spain earned four penalty corners during the match but could not turn any of them into goals.
Germany, meanwhile, made the most of its limited scoring opportunity and defended its narrow advantage effectively.
Argentina Win Bronze Medal
In the third-place playoff, Argentina defeated the Netherlands 2-1 to claim the bronze medal.
The victory gave Argentina a place on the podium after missing out on the final, while the Netherlands finished the tournament in fourth position.
