What Happened to the Job Promises? KTR Launches Sharp Attack on Congress

Congress Failed to Deliver on Employment Promises: KTR

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Telangana and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that the government had completely failed to fulfill the employment promises made to the youth during the Assembly elections. As a result, he said, thousands of unemployed youngsters in the state are now living in disappointment and uncertainty.

Telangana Youth Facing Uncertainty

KTR said the future of Telangana’s youth has become uncertain due to the Congress government’s failure to implement its commitments. He accused both the Congress and the BJP of making grand promises to attract young voters during elections without any intention of fulfilling them.

Recalling the job calendar announced by the Telangana government in the Assembly nearly two years ago, KTR said that the promised recruitment process had still not been completed. He questioned the credibility of the government, stating that if campaign promises were ignored, at least the assurances given on the floor of the Assembly should be honored.

KTR Refers to Khammam Student’s Suicide Attempt

Referring to the recent suicide attempt by a student named Venu in Khammam, KTR said the student’s suicide note mentioned that it should be shared with Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. He noted that his own name was also mentioned in the letter.

According to KTR, the note was not just a personal message but resembled a “charge sheet” against the Congress government, highlighting the frustration of unemployed youth over the government’s failure to provide jobs.

Questions Rahul Gandhi’s Absence

KTR also recalled Rahul Gandhi’s promises made to unemployed youth during his visit to Ashok Nagar before the elections. He questioned why Rahul Gandhi was not visiting Telangana now, despite the Congress being in power in the state.

He alleged that Rahul Gandhi avoids Congress-ruled states where promises remain unfulfilled, while choosing to tour states where the Congress is not in power, carrying the Constitution and criticizing other governments.

Demands Immediate Action on Recruitment

KTR urged the Telangana government to immediately address the concerns of unemployed youth and fulfill the recruitment promises made before the elections. He demanded that the government implement the job calendar without further delay and restore confidence among job aspirants across the state.
