At the BRS Youth Meeting held at Saroor Nagar Stadium in Hyderabad, BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, alleging that it had completely forgotten the promises made to unemployed youth through its much-publicized Youth Declaration.
KTR said the same Saroor Nagar venue was used by Congress leaders to make several promises to unemployed youth before the Assembly elections, but after coming to power, the government had failed to honor those commitments.
“Not a Single Promise Fulfilled in 30 Months”
KTR alleged that despite completing nearly 30 months in office, the Congress government had not fulfilled even a single major promise made to the youth.
He questioned the status of key assurances, including:
- Reservations in private sector jobs
- Scooters for women
- Large-scale employment generation
- Other commitments made under the Youth Declaration
He accused leaders from Delhi and the Congress leadership at Gandhi Bhavan of misleading Telangana’s youth for electoral gains.
Open Challenge to CM Revanth Reddy
In one of his strongest remarks, KTR threw an open challenge to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
He declared that if the Congress government could prove with evidence that it had provided 70,000 jobs as claimed, he would not only resign from his MLA post but also quit politics permanently.
According to KTR, the government was misleading the public with false claims regarding employment generation.
Government Accused of Misleading Unemployed Youth
KTR alleged that instead of creating employment opportunities, the Congress government was attempting to mislead unemployed youth with political narratives.
He asserted that Telangana is not anyone’s personal property and accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of displaying arrogance in governance.
KTR also recalled the Chief Minister’s earlier remarks against Osmania University students, saying those comments had deeply hurt the sentiments of Telangana’s youth.
Youth Need Jobs, Not Political Speeches
Highlighting growing frustration among unemployed youth, KTR said young people were not looking for political speeches but genuine employment opportunities.
He warned that if Telangana’s youth united and launched a movement, it could shake the foundations of the government.
He advised the ruling party not to underestimate public anger and dissatisfaction.
“People Will Teach the Government a Lesson”
Concluding his speech, KTR claimed that the Revanth Reddy government had lost the trust of the people.
He expressed confidence that the people of Telangana would deliver an appropriate verdict against the government in the future and stated that the state’s youth would play a decisive role in shaping Telangana’s political future.
