YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to take another key step over the alleged irregularities in the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment process. After raising the issue at various levels, Jagan is now expected to meet the Governor and submit a complaint regarding the matter.
Jagan Likely to Meet Governor on Thursday
Against this backdrop, Jagan is reportedly scheduled to meet the Governor at 5 pm tomorrow. During the meeting, he is expected to raise the incidents that took place during the YSRCP-led protest outside the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) office over the alleged DSC irregularities.
He is also likely to bring to the Governor’s attention the alleged attacks on party leaders, DSC candidates and unemployed youth during the protest.
Demand for CBI Probe into DSC Recruitment
Jagan is also expected to urge the Governor to order a comprehensive investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process.
He is likely to explain the allegations that have emerged in connection with various aspects of the recruitment, including the sports quota. Jagan may also present details of the recruitment process and evidence that the party claims to have collected in support of its allegations.
YSRCP Steps Up Pressure Over DSC Issue
The YSRCP has been consistently raising the DSC recruitment issue and demanding an investigation into the alleged irregularities. Jagan’s proposed meeting with the Governor is expected to be part of the party’s continued efforts to pursue the matter through constitutional channels.
Meanwhile, attention is now focused on how the government will respond to the allegations and what further developments may follow Jagan’s proposed complaint to the Governor.
