YSRCP MLC Botsa Satyanarayana launched a scathing attack on the Andhra Pradesh coalition government, alleging that the state has been facing serious issues under the TDP-led administration. He claimed that whenever Chandrababu Naidu comes to power, drought follows in the state, describing it as “God’s truth.”
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Botsa Satyanarayana made several allegations against the coalition government and criticised its style of governance.
Mining Rampant Across Anakapalli District
Botsa alleged that mining activities are taking place extensively across Anakapalli district. He claimed that the situation has become a matter of concern and questioned the government’s approach towards the issue.
He also criticised the government over the alleged spread of ganja addiction, stating that young people and the general public are facing difficulties because of drug use. According to Botsa, the government has failed to take adequate measures to address the problem.
Government Accused of Suppressing Voices on Social Media
Botsa Satyanarayana further alleged that social media accounts are being blocked whenever people speak about issues concerning the government.
Questioning the government’s actions, he asked who had given it the authority to suppress the voices of the people. He said that criticism and discussion of public issues should not be silenced.
Botsa Accuses Government of Cheating Unemployed Youth in Mega DSC
Botsa strongly criticised the coalition government over the Mega DSC recruitment process, alleging that it was deceiving unemployed youth in the name of recruitment.
He claimed that during the YSRCP government’s tenure, more than 10,000 DSC posts were filled and around 1.5 lakh Secretariat jobs were provided.
Botsa asserted that no allegations of irregularities had emerged in the recruitment process during the YSRCP government’s tenure. He said the recruitment process under the previous government was conducted in a transparent manner.
Allegations Over Sports Quota Recruitment
Botsa alleged that the coalition government had provided jobs under the sports quota without conducting examinations.
He further claimed that the government first issued a Government Order (GO) for the recruitment process and subsequently cancelled the same GO after the appointments had already been made.
The YSRCP MLC questioned the manner in which the recruitment process was handled and alleged that the developments raised serious doubts over transparency.
Botsa Accuses Coalition Government of Destroying Visakhapatnam
Botsa Satyanarayana also alleged that the coalition government had “destroyed” Visakhapatnam city.
He claimed that land worth around ₹3,000 crore had been handed over to GITAM University and questioned the government over the decision.
“Whose money was used to hand over public assets, and who gave permission for it?” Botsa asked, demanding accountability from the government.
He alleged that valuable public properties were being handed over without adequate justification and questioned the government’s authority to take such decisions.
