The DSC-2025 issue triggered a political storm on the opening day of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s Monsoon Session. While the YSRCP has been demanding a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process, heated exchanges took place between ruling and opposition members in the Legislative Council. Against this backdrop, remarks made by Minister Atchannaidu have now gone viral on social media.
YSRCP Demands Discussion on DSC-2025
YSRCP MLCs submitted an adjournment motion in the Legislative Council seeking a discussion on alleged irregularities and wrongdoing in DSC-2025.
The YSRCP has been campaigning on behalf of DSC candidates, demanding a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities and calling for the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh, holding him responsible for the controversy.
Allegations Over Sports Quota
Allegations have also emerged regarding irregularities in the sports quota during the DSC-2025 recruitment process. Critics claim that eligible candidates were denied opportunities while others were allegedly given preference.
Several DSC candidates have also staged protests, claiming that they were unfairly treated during the recruitment process. Against this backdrop, the YSRCP insisted that the issue be taken up for discussion in the Legislative Council.
With the opposition pressing the issue, seven ministers from the ruling alliance reportedly attended the Council proceedings to counter the YSRCP’s allegations.
Atchannaidu’s Remarks Go Viral
During the heated exchanges over the DSC issue, Minister Atchannaidu’s remarks became a major talking point.
A video circulating on social media shows the minister saying, “There was a small mistake somewhere in the DSC, Mr. Speaker. If even a small mistake has occurred, there should be shame.”
The video has since gone viral, with several social media users interpreting the statement as an acknowledgment that an error had occurred in the DSC recruitment process.
Political Debate Intensifies
The minister’s statement has assumed political significance as it came at a time when the YSRCP was demanding a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in DSC-2025.
Social media users are now questioning whether the government will take responsibility for the alleged error. Some are also asking whether Education Minister Nara Lokesh will accept responsibility or resign if irregularities are established.
YSRCP Demands Full-Scale Probe
The YSRCP has reiterated its demand for a comprehensive investigation into the DSC-2025 controversy and has urged the government to reveal the facts surrounding the recruitment process.
Meanwhile, the circulation of Atchannaidu’s video on social media has intensified the political debate over DSC-2025, with the opposition using the minister’s remarks to press its allegations and demand further action.
