JAC Representatives Raise Concerns Over DSC Recruitment
The conduct of DSC examinations and recruitment of government jobs in Andhra Pradesh has once again become a major political issue. Against this backdrop, a delegation of the Student, Unemployed and Youth Joint Action Committee (JAC) met YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to present their concerns regarding recruitment processes and employment opportunities.
The representatives urged that transparency be ensured in government job recruitments and requested immediate action from the government to safeguard the future of unemployed youth across the state.
Demand for CBI Probe into Alleged DSC Irregularities
One of the key demands placed before Jagan was to press the government to order a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the DSC examinations.
According to the JAC representatives, an independent investigation is essential to restore confidence among job aspirants and ensure fairness in the recruitment process.
Appeal to Fill 10,000 Constable Posts
The delegation also requested that the government initiate steps to fill at least 10,000 constable vacancies through the ongoing recruitment process.
They stated that filling these vacancies would provide significant relief to thousands of unemployed candidates who have been preparing for police recruitment and waiting for job opportunities.
Demand to Increase Age Limit to 35 Years
Another major request submitted to Jagan was to urge the government to increase the maximum age limit for constable recruitment to 35 years.
The representatives pointed out that many eligible candidates are losing employment opportunities due to the existing age criteria. Raising the age limit, they said, would benefit a large number of aspirants who have crossed the current eligibility threshold.
Jagan Assures Support to Unemployed Youth
After listening to the delegation’s representations, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured them that he would continue to stand by unemployed youth and students.
He reportedly said that efforts would be made to mount pressure on the government to address the issues faced by students and job seekers. Jagan also assured the delegation that the YSRCP would continue its fight for what it described as the legitimate demands of unemployed youth.
His remarks have once again sparked political discussion in Andhra Pradesh over employment, recruitment transparency, and the future of government job aspirants.
