The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) launched a statewide protest across Andhra Pradesh against the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process, alleging large-scale irregularities and lack of transparency. Under the banner “Daga DSC” (Fraud DSC), party leaders, public representatives, and job aspirants staged demonstrations at district collectorates and submitted memorandums to District Collectors and Joint Collectors.
The party demanded a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities in the recruitment process and called for the immediate resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh, holding him morally and politically responsible.
YSRCP Alleges Massive Irregularities in DSC-2025 Recruitment
YSRCP leaders alleged that the DSC-2025 recruitment process lacked transparency from the conduct of examinations to the preparation of merit lists. They claimed that the state government had jeopardized the future of thousands of job aspirants by failing to ensure a fair recruitment process.
According to the party, numerous complaints have been received from candidates regarding alleged irregularities, but the government has remained silent instead of addressing their concerns.
Statewide Protests at Collectorates
Following a call by the YSRCP state committee, party leaders, elected representatives, cadres, and unemployed youth gathered at collectorates across Andhra Pradesh to protest against the recruitment process.
Memorandums were submitted to District Collectors and Joint Collectors seeking an immediate and comprehensive investigation into the alleged irregularities in DSC-2025.
The protests were held in districts including Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Kakinada, Rajamahendravaram, Nellore, Kadapa, Anantapur, Chittoor, Kurnool, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Prakasam, Bapatla, Palnadu, Nandyal, Eluru, Konaseema, West Godavari, Krishna, and several others.
Demand for a CBI Investigation
YSRCP leaders argued that an internal government inquiry would not reveal the truth behind the allegations. Therefore, they demanded that the entire DSC-2025 recruitment process be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The party sought a comprehensive investigation into the conduct of examinations, evaluation process, preparation of merit lists, selection procedures, and all complaints raised by candidates.
YSRCP Seeks Resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh
Holding Education Minister Nara Lokesh responsible for the alleged irregularities, YSRCP leaders demanded that he immediately resign on moral and political grounds.
They alleged that the future of thousands of unemployed youth had been compromised and stated that it would be inappropriate for the minister to continue in office until the investigation is completed.
Protest Will Continue Until the Truth Comes Out
YSRCP leaders announced that their agitation would continue until a full investigation is conducted and the truth behind the alleged DSC irregularities is brought to light.
They asserted that the party would intensify its democratic protests until justice is delivered to job aspirants and warned that they would not withdraw the movement until the government responds.
Town Hall Meetings on August 3 and 4
As part of the next phase of its campaign, YSRCP announced that Town Hall meetings would be held at every Assembly constituency headquarters across Andhra Pradesh on August 3 and 4.
The party said these meetings would provide a platform for DSC candidates, unemployed youth, students, and representatives of public organizations to share their grievances and help formulate the next phase of the protest.
Leaders Participate Across the State
Former ministers, former MLAs, MLCs, constituency in-charges, district presidents, public representatives, and party workers participated in the demonstrations across various districts.
Large numbers of DSC aspirants also joined the protests, expressing concern over the recruitment process and demanding a transparent inquiry.
YSRCP Vows to Continue Agitation
Calling the “Daga DSC” campaign a fight for justice, YSRCP reiterated that its agitation against the alleged irregularities in DSC-2025 would continue until an impartial investigation is conducted.
Through statewide protests, memorandums to district officials, demands for a CBI probe, calls for the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh, and the upcoming Town Hall meetings, the party aims to intensify public awareness and keep pressure on the government over the recruitment issue.
