ADR 2026 Report Reveals Chandrababu Naidu’s Declared Wealth

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who has often stated in public that he does not wear a watch or a ring and portrays himself as a man of simple means, has come under fresh political discussion following the release of the ADR (Association for Democratic Reforms) 2026 Report.

According to the report, Chandrababu Naidu has declared assets worth more than ₹931 crore, making him the second richest Chief Minister in India.

The report places Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at the top of the list with declared assets worth ₹1,413 crore, while Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay ranks third with assets of ₹648 crore.

Chandrababu Also Among Chief Ministers With Pending Criminal Cases

The ADR report also highlights pending criminal cases against several Chief Ministers across the country.

According to the report, Chandrababu Naidu has 19 pending criminal cases, including cases registered under serious provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Among Chief Ministers, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy tops the list with 89 criminal cases, followed by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari with 29 cases. Chandrababu Naidu and D.K. Shivakumar are listed next with 19 cases each.

Earlier ADR Report on TDP Ministers

The article also refers to an earlier ADR report, which stated that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had the highest proportion of ministers with declared criminal cases among state cabinets.

According to that report, 22 out of 23 TDP ministers (96%) disclosed pending criminal cases in their election affidavits.

The ADR data also indicates that Andhra Pradesh ranks second in the country in terms of the number of ministers possessing assets worth over ₹100 crore.

Out of the 25 ministers in the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, six are billionaires, with five belonging to the TDP.

The report further notes that Union Minister Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, who is associated with the TDP, is the richest minister in India, having declared assets worth over ₹5,705 crore.
