Jagan Repeatedly Raises Allegations Over DSC-2025 Recruitment

Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has on several occasions addressed the media, alleging large-scale irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process in Andhra Pradesh. He has raised questions over issues such as the alleged question paper leak, irregularities under the sports quota, lack of transparency in merit lists, and allegations of jobs being sold for money.

Criticism Over Government’s Response

According to critics, instead of directly responding to these allegations, Minister Nara Lokesh has repeatedly challenged Jagan to engage in a direct public debate. They argue that such political challenges do not address the specific questions raised by the opposition and that the government should provide clear, evidence-based explanations on every allegation.

Several observers believe that if the recruitment process was conducted transparently, the government could rebut each allegation with supporting facts rather than limiting its response to political exchanges.

Questions Raised on Examination Process

Among the key issues highlighted by Jagan are concerns over the examination process itself. He questioned why the responsibility for preparing the question paper and conducting the examination was allegedly entrusted to the same authority instead of maintaining separate mechanisms.

He also questioned why highly confidential tasks such as question paper preparation and uploading were reportedly handled by outsourcing employees. Another issue raised is how an outsourcing employee allegedly associated with the examination process secured a top rank in the recruitment.

Allegations Regarding Government Orders

Jagan also questioned the government’s decision to replace earlier recruitment rules under G.O. No. 74 with G.O. No. 4 and G.O. No. 47.

According to the allegations, these changes allegedly allowed appointments without candidates appearing for the DSC examination or even possessing the prescribed educational qualifications. It has also been alleged that jobs were granted based merely on participation certificates and that the relevant Government Orders were withdrawn after the recruitment process was completed.

The opposition has asked whom these policy changes were intended to benefit.

Transparency Concerns in Merit Lists

Another major concern relates to transparency in the recruitment process.

The opposition questioned why candidates’ marks, ranks, and cut-off details were not made available in the public domain. It also sought an explanation for why call letters were reportedly issued only to selected candidates without making the complete selection data publicly accessible.

Allegations of Sale of Teacher Posts

Jagan further alleged that teacher posts were sold for amounts ranging between ₹15 lakh and ₹20 lakh per post.

He also referred to audio and video clips circulating publicly, claiming they relate to negotiations for government jobs, and demanded that the government clarify their authenticity and respond to the allegations.

Sports Quota Under Scrutiny

The opposition also questioned the implementation of the sports quota.

According to the allegations, candidates who merely participated in sporting events were reportedly given appointments while some national-level medal winners were allegedly overlooked. Questions were also raised over claims that a significant number of participation certificates were issued by Vice Chancellors allegedly considered close to the ruling party.

The opposition has demanded an explanation regarding the basis on which these certificates were accepted.

Growing Public Debate

Critics argue that since the opposition has already placed several allegations and supporting material before the public, the government should respond with documentary evidence instead of issuing political challenges.

They contend that repeated calls for direct debates, without addressing the allegations point by point, are creating further doubts among unemployed youth and job aspirants.

The controversy surrounding the DSC-2025 recruitment process has become a major topic of public discussion across Andhra Pradesh. Candidates, opposition leaders, and several sections of society are demanding that the government issue a comprehensive and transparent clarification on all the allegations to restore confidence in the recruitment process.
