Perni Nani Launches Sharp Attack on Nara Lokesh

YSRCP leader and former minister Perni Nani launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh’s de facto Chief Minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday. Addressing the media, he said that before throwing challenges for public debates, Lokesh should have the courage to face the facts. Perni Nani stated that if Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu comes forward for a debate, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would participate, and if Lokesh is willing to debate, he himself is ready to take part.

Allegations of Interference in Multiple Departments

Perni Nani alleged that Lokesh has been interfering in almost every government department except the Education Department. He mocked Lokesh for claiming credit for bringing companies, creating jobs, and frequently speaking about showing the “Red Book” to political opponents. According to Perni Nani, Lokesh takes credit even for minor developments and makes inappropriate remarks against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy merely to receive applause from party workers.

He further challenged Lokesh, saying that if he truly has the capability as a first-time MLA, he should come for an open debate on the alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process. He also criticized Lokesh for allegedly failing to provide jobs to party workers who supported him while now preaching morality.

Serious Allegations Over DSC Recruitment

The former minister alleged that large-scale irregularities took place in the DSC teacher recruitment process. He claimed that serious mistakes had occurred in the recruitment of teachers and accused the government of trying to suppress the issue.

Perni Nani questioned why district collectorates had not displayed the merit lists publicly. He alleged that teaching posts were awarded to undeserving candidates instead of those who genuinely qualified.

Demand for Inquiry Into Sports Quota Appointments

Referring to the Sports Quota appointments, Perni Nani recalled that the court had suggested an inquiry into the recruitment process. He demanded that if the government was sincere and transparent, it should order a comprehensive investigation.

He further asserted that if those responsible truly believed in ethical values, they should resign from their positions. In a sarcastic remark, he said that former minister Bonda Uma has been waiting for a ministerial berth, adding that the responsible individuals should step down and allow him the opportunity.

Calls for Transparency and Accountability

Concluding his remarks, Perni Nani insisted that the government should ensure complete transparency in the DSC recruitment process and conduct a fair investigation into all allegations. He maintained that only an impartial inquiry would restore the confidence of candidates and the public.
