Protests Intensify Over Alleged Malpractices in DSC-2025
Protests are intensifying across Andhra Pradesh over alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process. Candidates who claim to have been adversely affected by the recruitment, along with several youth organizations supporting them, have launched strong protests against the Chandrababu Naidu-led government. They have alleged question paper leaks, illegal sale of teacher posts under the sports quota, and irregularities in the issuance of appointment orders. The aggrieved candidates are demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the entire recruitment process.
Demand for Minister Lokesh’s Resignation
The protesting candidates argue that just as the Union Government was held accountable in the NEET-UG question paper leak controversy, the Andhra Pradesh Government should also take responsibility for the alleged irregularities in DSC-2025. They have demanded that Education Minister Nara Lokesh accept moral responsibility and resign, similar to the accountability sought from Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during the NEET controversy.
GO 4 and GO 47 Under Scrutiny
Candidates have alleged that Government Orders (GO) 4 and GO 47, issued alongside the DSC-2025 recruitment notification, facilitated irregular appointments under the sports quota. According to them, teacher posts were allegedly allotted by violating prescribed norms relating to written examinations and eligibility criteria.
They further questioned why the government has not initiated an investigation despite audio recordings allegedly surfacing that suggest the sale of teacher posts under the sports quota.
Sports Quota Recruitment Faces Serious Allegations
Several sportspersons have alleged that GO 4 and GO 47 were introduced to benefit selected individuals rather than genuine athletes. They claim that national-level medal winners were denied fair opportunities, while teacher posts were allegedly awarded to individuals who obtained sports certificates through improper means.
The candidates further alleged that deals ranging from ₹15 lakh to ₹20 lakh were struck for individual teacher posts. Despite the emergence of audio clips purportedly linked to these allegations, they claim that no action has been taken by the government.
YSRCP Extends Support to Aggrieved Candidates
In response to the controversy, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has called for statewide protests in support of candidates who claim to have suffered injustice in the DSC-2025 recruitment process. Thousands of students and youth reportedly participated in demonstrations across Andhra Pradesh following the party’s call.
The YSRCP’s youth and student wings have been organizing protests across the state, demanding a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities in DSC-2025 and calling for the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh over the issue.
