Jagan Reacts to Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and Andhra Pradesh Leader of the Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has once again criticized the Andhra Pradesh government over the alleged irregularities in the AP DSC teacher recruitment examinations. Referring to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following the NEET question paper leak controversy in New Delhi, Jagan questioned whether the same standards of accountability would be applied in Andhra Pradesh.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Jagan stated that Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over the NEET paper leak reflected the NDA government’s commitment to moral responsibility and accountability.
Questions Whether the Same Standards Apply in Andhra Pradesh
Jagan asked whether similar ethical standards would be followed in Andhra Pradesh in light of the alleged irregularities in the DSC examination process.
He questioned whether Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh would resign, taking moral responsibility for what he described as “endless irregularities” in the conduct of the DSC examination, which allegedly affected the future of nearly 3.5 lakh teacher aspirants across the state.
Demand for Moral Responsibility
According to Jagan, if the Union Education Minister could resign over the NEET controversy, the Andhra Pradesh government should also uphold the same principles of accountability.
He alleged that the DSC examination was conducted in a manner that compromised the interests of lakhs of candidates and said the state government must answer for the alleged lapses.
Questions Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu
Jagan also targeted Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, asking whether the Chief Minister would protect his son’s ministerial position instead of upholding the values of responsibility and accountability that the NDA government claims to follow.
He remarked that if no action is taken, it would amount to abandoning the very principles of transparency and moral responsibility that the ruling alliance publicly advocates.
Political Debate Intensifies
Jagan’s remarks have added a fresh political dimension to the ongoing controversy surrounding the AP DSC examinations. The issue has become a major point of confrontation between the ruling coalition and the opposition, with the YSRCP continuing to demand accountability over the alleged irregularities.
The Andhra Pradesh government has yet to officially respond to Jagan’s latest comments.
