The DSC teacher recruitment process in Andhra Pradesh has become a major political issue, with former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy making serious allegations against the state government over the way the recruitment drive is being conducted.
Jagan has claimed that although the government announced plans to fill nearly 16,000 teacher posts, the entire recruitment process has been marred by irregularities and alleged corruption. He has demanded a CBI investigation into the matter, arguing that only an independent agency can uncover the truth.
Jagan Alleges Conspiracy, Says Candidates Are Suffering
In posts shared on social media, Jagan alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh were involved in what he described as a conspiracy surrounding the DSC recruitment process.
According to him, the alleged irregularities have created uncertainty and hardship for thousands of candidates aspiring to secure teaching jobs. He further accused the government of failing to maintain transparency and claimed that applicants have been left in the dark about important developments in the recruitment process.
Concerns Raised Over Examination Conduct and Evaluation
Jagan also questioned the manner in which the examination was conducted and evaluated. He alleged that critical responsibilities, including question paper preparation and the conduct of the examination, were concentrated in the hands of a single officer.
According to him, such an arrangement raises serious concerns about fairness and accountability. He further criticized the reported involvement of outsourcing employees in sensitive examination-related duties, describing it as a major irregularity.
Allegations of Question Paper Leakage
One of the most serious allegations raised by the former Chief Minister relates to a possible question paper leak.
Jagan claimed that an individual associated with the preparation of the examination reportedly secured the highest score in the test. He argued that this development raises significant doubts about the integrity of the recruitment process and cannot simply be dismissed as a coincidence.
According to him, the incident warrants a thorough investigation to determine whether confidential examination material was leaked.
Questions Over Changes in Candidate Lists
Jagan also alleged that the candidate selection lists were altered after they had already been prepared.
He claimed that some candidates who had successfully completed certificate verification were later removed from the selection list without any clear explanation. According to him, these developments have created suspicion and undermined confidence in the recruitment process.
Criticism of Changes to Sports Quota Recruitment Rules
The former Chief Minister further accused the government of repeatedly changing the rules governing teacher recruitment under the sports quota.
He alleged that the rules were modified and later revised again, creating confusion among applicants. According to Jagan, these changes may have opened the door for certain individuals to obtain jobs despite not meeting the required qualifications.
Corruption Allegations and Demand for Action
Jagan also referred to videos that allegedly show money being exchanged for teaching posts. He questioned why no strong action had been taken against those accused of involvement in such activities.
He alleged that law enforcement authorities were failing to act against the individuals concerned and accused the government of protecting those responsible for the alleged wrongdoing.
Calls for an Independent CBI Investigation
The YSRCP president argued that state agencies cannot be expected to conduct a completely impartial inquiry because they function under the state government.
For that reason, he insisted that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should be entrusted with examining all allegations related to the DSC recruitment process. According to Jagan, only an independent investigation can establish the facts and restore confidence among job aspirants.
He maintained that the government has failed thousands of candidates seeking employment and reiterated his demand for a comprehensive CBI probe into the recruitment process.
