Woman Says Vijay Sekhar Took Money Promising Business Opportunities
Jana Sena Party is facing fresh controversy after a software engineer accused party leader Betapudi Vijay Sekhar of allegedly cheating her of nearly ₹1.75 crore. According to the complainant, she met Vijay Sekhar during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he allegedly promised to help her secure businesses such as sand quarries and wine shops, claiming that Jana Sena would soon come to power. Trusting his assurances, she says she handed over nearly ₹1.75 crore and was even persuaded to pledge her gold to raise additional funds.
Allegations of Threats and Assault After Elections
The woman claims that after the new government assumed office in 2024, Vijay Sekhar stopped responding to her calls and messages. When she sought the return of her money, she alleges that he threatened and physically assaulted her for repeatedly demanding repayment.
Complaints to Janavani Allegedly Ignored
According to the complainant, she approached Jana Sena’s Janavani grievance redressal programme on three separate occasions seeking justice. However, she says no action was taken despite several party leaders being aware of the matter, leaving her feeling abandoned by the very system meant to address public grievances.
Emotional Appeal and Warning to Party Leadership
Expressing deep frustration, the woman warned that if she does not receive justice, she may end her life in front of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. She said the party leadership should be held responsible if such an extreme step becomes necessary, alleging that her repeated pleas have gone unanswered.
More Allegations Add to Jana Sena’s Troubles
The latest controversy comes amid previous allegations involving some Jana Sena leaders, including Kiran Royal, Arava Sridhar and Jayaprakash Naidu. While the nature of those cases may differ, critics argue that the recurring controversies are raising uncomfortable questions for the party.
