Candidates Complain of Injustice in DSC Recruitment
Many DSC candidates met Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. They said that the DSC recruitment process was unfair. The candidates told him about the problems they faced during the recruitment. They want him to help them. The candidates said they won gold medals at the National Games and have the qualifications needed for the job.. They were not given government jobs. They said that candidates who deserved the job based on their merits were not selected.
Repeated Attempts to Meet Minister Lokesh Yield No Response
The candidates said they tried to talk to Education Minister Nara Lokesh times.. He did not respond. They visited his office. Appealed to education department officials.. They did not get any answers. They asked why they were not given jobs even after they were selected. They also asked why they were called for certificate verification if they were not going to get the job.
Names Missing After Certificate Verification
Candidates said that after they verified their certificates their names were not in the list of selected or rejected candidates. They asked the authorities for explanations.. They were not given proper answers. Many of the candidates said they come from poor and middle-class families. They have suffered a lot because of the recruitment process.
Doubts Raised Over Sports Quota Selections
The candidates have concerns about the sports quota selections. They said some selected candidates have certificates that’re not related to the subjects they will teach. They said they do not mind sports quota candidates being appointed for sports-related jobs.. They do not understand why they are assigned to teach subjects they are not qualified for. This can affect the quality of education in government schools.
Allegations of Social Media Trolling and Merit List Changes
The candidates said that when they tried to raise their concerns in the media they were trolled on media. They said that the DSC merit lists were changed times. The cutoff marks were not officially announced. Some merit lists on the website were removed after a few days. They asked why the selection lists were not released district-wise during the recruitment process.
Candidates Thank Jagan for Hearing Their Concerns
The candidates thanked Jagan for listening to their problems. They said he brought their issues to the publics attention. They remembered that he helped candidates who faced injustices in the 1998 DSC recruitment process. They said it is hard for ordinary candidates to fight in courts.
